Ministries

San Pedro offers Christian education opportunities for all adults, no matter your age. Our church offers a "university" of classes for adult learners. We understand that some of us have been studying Scripture and the life of faith all of our lives. Others are new to the Christian faith. So we continuously develop a variety of classes that will connect with you. Some are very basic; some are more advanced. At least one will have just what you need to sharpen your skills or increase your knowledge of Christian faith and life. Take a look at what we offer. We know you'll find a group or study that will meet your needs.
San Pedro sponsors one of the best Boy Scout troops in our area. Scout Troop 511 has been chartered by SPPC for 25 years, earning the title "Veteran Troop."

CBS includes wonderful children's classes and meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays during the school year. The mission of San Pedro's Children's Ministry is to grow disciples of Jesus Christ who are able to affirm Him as their Savior and Lord. The Children's Ministry focuses on education, music and missions.
As a missional church, San Pedro is actively involved in many local, national and international programs to assist in spreading the love of Christ in our world These efforts offer exciting and rewarding opportunities for involvement in Christ's work.
The primary focus of San Pedro's music program is to lead, enhance, and enrich the worship experience of the church. Our belief is that music stirs a sense of pleasure and enjoyment and is a source of devout worship. The church has several opportunities for service through this ministry.
Our church supports numerous social groups that offer fellowship with other Christians and the foundation for a support system within our church family. There are groups for all ages so you will be able to find one or maybe two where you will feel at home.
Going Through a Difficult Time? If you are or someone you know is going through a difficult time, remember that you do not have to go through it alone. Why not consider a trained Stephen Minister? The care you receive is confidential, free, and very helpful. Talk to one of our pastors or Stephen Leaders to learn how to receive care.
Friends, several of the ministries of San Pedro Presbyterian Church are in need of volunteers. While our lives are filled with responsibilities of work and family, many of our ministries are struggling to live into the vision the leadership of SPPC has for them. This vision, held by the leadership of our church, for these ministries emerges out of many hours of prayer and discernment. Because of this, as Presbyterians, we understand the vision for, and the work of these ministries to be God's will for our congregation. I would ask that you take a look at the list of ministries below and consider sharing some of yourself, and some of your time, to help us to be the congregation we believe God has called us to be. If you are currently volunteering, know that your time and service are truly a blessing to SPPC and the community she serves.
San Pedro offers numerous opportunities through its Women's Ministry for women to enhance their Christian education, to form friendships through fellowship, and to serve in our mission outreach.
San Pedro's Youth Ministry offers Middle School and High School students the opportunity for Bible study, fellowship and fun through various activities that include Sunday School, Wednesday night programs, special trips and social events.
