Music Ministry

If you enjoy singing or playing an instrument, you can be part of one of San Pedro's musical groups.  Just find the one that works best for you and through which you can best serve in making worship a more spiritual and meaningful experience.

Chancel Choir

The chancel choir is under the direction of Mark Twehues, director of music, and Katarina McAnelly, associate director of music and church organist.  The choir meets for rehearsal on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Arnold Building Choir Room.  It leads both worship services on Sunday.  Special music services with orchestra are presented during Advent and Christmas and on Palm Sunday and Easter.  Other special music Sundays are scheduled throughout the year.

Joyful Noise Ringers (Handbells)

The Joyful Noise Ringers, under the direction of Katarina McAnelly, perform during the worship services once a month and give an annual Christmas concert in early December.  Special handbell performances are scheduled during Advent and on Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday and Easter.  Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Arnold Building Choir Room.  Membership is open to youth and adults.

The church also has a Beginning Handbell Choir to encourage membership in this music ministry.  Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Arnold Building Choir Room.  Membership is open to youth and adults.
